The Aboriginal Shield Program (ASP), one of Drugs and Organized Crime Awareness Service's (DOCAS) main initiatives, is a youth-driven program that provides substance abuse prevention and healthy lifestyles coaching to Aboriginal communities. The ASP enables Aboriginal youth to gain a sense of cultural connection and pride, while learning to make informed healthy lifestyle choices about drug use and related activities.

Le programme Bouclier autochtone (PBA), l'une des principales initiatives du Service de sensibilisation aux drogues et au crime organisé (SSDCO), est un programme axé sur les jeunes qui vise à aider les communautés autochtones à prévenir la consommation abusive de substances intoxicantes et à adopter des modes de vie sains. Le PBA aide les jeunes Autochtones à renforcer les liens qu'ils entretiennent avec leur culture et à se sentir fiers de leurs racines, tout en prenant des décisions éclairées relativement à la consommation de drogues et aux activités qui y sont liées.

This program of the Solicitor General Canada is a native specific drug awareness program aimed at native youth. This program is delivered by trained police educators to youth in native communities. The Secretariat provided financial support for the development process of the "Aboriginal Shield Program" through the delivery of three regional workshops designed to educate the instructors, as well as an evaluation fo the educational content of the program.

Ce programme du Solliciteur général du Canada vise à sensibiliser les jeunes autochtones aux problèmes de drogue qui les concernent en propre. Il est offert dans les collectivités autochtones par des moniteurs de la police. Le Secrétariat a contribué à la mise en œuvre du Programme en finançant l'organisation de trois ateliers régionaux aux fins de la formation des instructeurs. Il a aussi réalisé une évaluation du volet éducatif de ce programme.
